The ability to download a map via vicinity using the Tungsten and
a T68i over GPRS in a few seconds is amazing. Great feature.

For those of us who live in GPS-map challenged countries, programs
like this are essential. Unfortunately there isn't a good manual to accompany
this program. The on-line guide is somewhat brief given the program's
capabilities. It took me a while and trial and error to answer some of
the basic questions I had. On the positive side, making your own maps
is fairly straightforward once you get the hang of it. The ability to
have multiple maps that can be put into one database is great! Even better,
each of these maps can be calibrated on the Palm *individually*, so you
don't have to worry about calibrating them with the desktop application
(if you don't have GPS data for your maps that is). I found this a wonderful
feature, and it was something NEVER mentioned in the guide. Once all HandAnGo

pedometer or speedometer for bicycles
I used to use TripPilot and had great results with the GPS software from
this company. So, this program was given a thorough test over the last
few weeks. The Palm Zire 71 and Magellan GPS (m500 model) were attached
to the bicycle and given a test ride. It not only told you how fast you
were going, but it also kept track of how far I had ridden. The interface
is wonderful and tells you all you need to know (and also looks great
in OS 5's Hi-Res screen. Great program!

Excellent GPS compass program. I downloaded this program and decided
to register it only 2 hours later. I am using the Magellan Streetfinder
GPS with the Palm VX and I wish the Streetfinder would have come with
this kind of utility. This is a must have for Palm GPS owners.

I have an IBM Workpad C3 (Palm Vx) and have been using it with a Rand
McNally Streetfinder GPS for a couple months. It has worked for me absolutely
flawlessly. Actually it is working better than the Streetfinder Deluxe
Software that was part of the Rand McNally GPS Package. If fact I've just
returned to the site to "Pay UP" for the shareware. It's lived
up to the promise for me.

ZDNet 5 Stars Editor Pick GPS Pilot Compass:
Use your Palm as a compass and more, May 1999.
Compass is a GPS (Global Positioning System) application for the Palm.
The main screen shows you a multitude of information, such as your bearing,
current speed, current latitude and longitude, altitude, and magnetic
variation. In addition, you get the functionality of a built-in atomic
clock because the program shows you the date and time of the satellites
(in universal time). The number of satellites in view and the validity
of their signal is shown in the title bar. This program is visually attractive,
and has nice aesthetic touches, such as displaying the compass bearing
graphically as well as numerically. You can easily change the units of
measure. Documentation is included, with a link to the author's Website
that shows you how to connect your GPS device to the Palm. For people
with a supported GPS receiver, this is an outstanding, must-have application.
